Maintenance of Religious Harmony
(Compoundable Offences)
Regulations 2022

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 of the Maintenance of Religious Harmony Act 1990, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Maintenance of Religious Harmony (Compoundable Offences) Regulations 2022 and come into operation on 1 November 2022.

Compoundable offences

2. Each of the following offences is prescribed as a compoundable offence that may be compounded in accordance with section 17D of the Act:

(a)	an offence under section 17H(1), 17J(1) or (2) or 17L(1) of the Act, except a continuing offence;
(b)	an offence under section 17H(3) or 17K(3) of the Act.
