Animals and Birds (Veterinary Fees) (Amendment) Rules 2000
In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 65 and 70 of the Animals and Birds Act, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Animals and Birds (Veterinary Fees) (Amendment) Rules 2000 and shall come into operation on 3rd March 2000.
Deletion and substitution of Schedule
2.  The Schedule to the Animals and Birds (Veterinary Fees) Rules (R 8) is deleted and the following Schedule substituted therefor:

1. Veterinary certification
 
$21 per certificate
2. Mallein test for horse
 
$190 per horse
3. Certified true copy of a veterinary certificate

4. Impoundment of —
 
 
(a) dogs
 
$86 per dog
(b) cats

5. Boarding of animals and birds
 
$15 per cat or dog or holding unit per day or part thereof
6. Certification of freedom from rabies in dog-bite cases
 
$37 per examination
7. Quality control test of veterinary vaccines or biologics:
 
 
(a) application fee for registration of veterinary vaccines or biologics
 
$190 per vaccine or biologic
(b) quality control test:
 
 
(i) identity test
 
$600 per test
(ii) sterility test
 
$70 per test
(iii) purity or titration test using embryonated eggs
 
$110 per test
(iv) purity or titration test using tissue culture
 
$235 per test
(v) safety or potency test using poultry or laboratory animals
 
$500 per test
(vi) safety test using pigs

(vii) potency test using pigs

8. Post mortem examination of —

(d) bacteriological examination (specialised)

(iii) using serum neutralisation test in tissue culture

(iv) using serum neutralisation test in embryonated eggs

10. Supply of veterinary biologics:

11. Licence to treat, vaccinate or inoculate animals or birds

12. Restricted licence to vaccinate or inoculate animals or birds with veterinary biologics

13. Licence to possess veterinary biologics

14. Membership fee – Quality Egg Scheme
 
$525 per annum per farm
15. Professional service fee
 
(a) $63 per hour or part thereof
 
 
(b) $133 per hour or part thereof (outside office hours or on an urgent basis)
16. Technical service fee
 
(a) $38 per hour or part thereof
 
 
(b) $80 per hour or part thereof (outside office hours or on an urgent basis).”.
