(Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2018

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 77(1)(q) of the Central Provident Fund Act, the Minister for Manpower, after consulting with the Central Provident Fund Board, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Central Provident Fund (Public Sector Employees) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2018 and come into operation on 1 January 2019.

Amendment of regulation 2

2. Regulation 2 of the Central Provident Fund (Public Sector Employees) Regulations 2011 (G.N. No. S 106/2011) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations) is amended by deleting the definition of “INVEST Plan”.

Amendment of regulation 4

3. Regulation 4 of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “regulations 3, 5 and 6” in paragraph (c) and substituting the words “regulations 3 and 5”.

Deletion of regulation 6

4. Regulation 6 of the principal Regulations is deleted.

Amendment of First Schedule

5. The First Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)

by deleting the Schedule reference and substituting the following Schedule reference:

“Regulation 3”;

(b)

by inserting the word “or” at the end of paragraph 1(c);

(c)

by deleting the word “; or” at the end of paragraph 1(d) and substituting a comma;

(d)

by deleting sub‑paragraph (e) of paragraph 1;

(e)

by inserting the word “or” at the end of paragraph 2(c);

(f)

by deleting the word “; or” at the end of paragraph 2(d) and substituting a comma;

(g)

by deleting sub‑paragraph (e) of paragraph 2;

(h)

by inserting the word “or” at the end of paragraph 3(c);

(i)

by deleting the word “; or” at the end of paragraph 3(d) and substituting a comma;

(j)

by deleting sub‑paragraph (e) of paragraph 3;

(k)

by inserting the word “or” at the end of paragraph 6(a)(iii); and

(l)

by deleting sub‑paragraph (v) of paragraph 6(a).

Amendment of Second Schedule

6. The Second Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “regulation 3, 5 or 6” in paragraphs 1(d), 2(d) and 3(d) and substituting in each case the words “regulation 3 or 5”.
