Passports (Amendment)
Regulations 2022
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 60 of the Passports Act 2007, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.—(1)  These Regulations are the Passports (Amendment) Regulations 2022 and, except for regulation 4(a) to (f), (h) and (j), come into operation on 30 November 2022.
(2)  Regulation 4(a) to (f), (h) and (j) is deemed to have come into operation on 31 December 2021.
Amendment of regulation 21
2.  In regulation 21(1) of the Passports Regulations 2007 (G.N. No. S 651/2007) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations) —
(a)in sub‑paragraph (a), replace “Agri‑Food and Veterinary Services” with “Animal Health and Welfare”;
(b)replace sub‑paragraph (f) with —
(f)the Commissioner of Prisons;”;
(c)in sub‑paragraph (g), delete “and” at the end;
(d)in sub‑paragraph (h), replace the full‑stop at the end with a semi‑colon; and
(e)after sub‑paragraph (h), insert —
(i)the Director of the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau.”.
Amendment of Third Schedule
3.  In the Third Schedule to the principal Regulations —
(a)in Part I —
(i)in item 1, replace “Section 57(1)(k)” with “Section 28(4)(d), 57(1)(aa), (b), (c) or (k) or 57C”; and
(ii)in item 2, replace “section 57(1)(k)” with “section 28(4)(d), 57(1)(aa), (b), (c) or (k) or 57C”; and
(b)in Part III, after item 4, insert —
5.Section 6 of the Arms Offences Act 1973.
6.Section 3 of the Corrosive and Explosive Substances and Offensive Weapons Act 1958.
7.Section 50, 51, 53, 54 or 55 of the Corruption, Drug Trafficking and Other Serious Crimes (Confiscation of Benefits) Act 1992.

10.Section 125, 376C, 376D or 489E of the Penal Code 1871.
11.Section 5 or 6 of the Prevention of Corruption Act 1960.
12.Section 3 of the Prevention of Human Trafficking Act 2014.
13.Section 140, 141, 142 or 146A(1) of the Women’s Charter 1961.
14.Section 13, read with section 5, 6, 7 or 10, of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1973.
15.Section 109, 115, 116, 118 or 120B of the Penal Code 1871, read with any offence specified in items 1 to 13.”.
Miscellaneous amendments
4.  In the principal Regulations —
(a)in regulation 2, in the definition of “care‑giver”, “Director‑General”, “protector” and “voluntary care agreement”, replace “(Cap. 38)” with “1993”;
(b)in the following regulations, replace “section 49A or 49D of the Children and Young Persons Act” with “section 55 or 58 of the Children and Young Persons Act 1993”:
