Active Mobility
(Cycling Without Age — Exemption)
(Amendment) Order 2024

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 66 of the Active Mobility Act 2017, the Minister for Transport makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order is the Active Mobility (Cycling Without Age — Exemption) (Amendment) Order 2024 and comes into operation on 29 November 2024.

Amendment of paragraph 3

2. In the Active Mobility (Cycling Without Age — Exemption) Order 2021 (G.N. No. S 676/2021), in paragraph 3 —

(a)

in sub‑paragraph (2), replace sub‑paragraph (d) with —

“(d)

for the specified route in Part 6 of the Schedule —

(i)	from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on a Saturday, Sunday or weekday (being a public holiday); and
(ii)	from 9.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on a day other than a Saturday, Sunday or weekday (being a public holiday);”;

(b)

in sub‑paragraph (2), replace sub‑paragraph (g) with —

“(g)	for the specified route in Part 11 of the Schedule — from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on a weekday, Saturday or Sunday;”;

(c)

in sub‑paragraph (2)(h), replace the full‑stop at the end with a semi‑colon;

(d)

in sub‑paragraph (2), after sub‑paragraph (h), insert —

“(i)	for the specified route in Part 13 of the Schedule — from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on a weekday or Saturday, except on a public holiday;
(j)	for the specified route in Part 14 of the Schedule — from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on a weekday, Saturday or Sunday.”;

(e)

in sub‑paragraph (3)(a), delete “6,”;

(f)

in sub‑paragraph (3), after sub‑paragraph (a), insert —

“(aa)

for the specified routes in Parts 6 and 14 of the Schedule — 4;”;

(g)

in sub‑paragraph (3)(c), replace “11 and 12” with “12 and 13”;

(h)

in sub‑paragraph (3)(c), replace the full‑stop at the end with a semi‑colon; and

(i)

in sub‑paragraph (3), after sub‑paragraph (c), insert —

“(d)	for the specified route in Part 11 of the Schedule — 6.”.

Amendment of Schedule

3. In the Active Mobility (Cycling Without Age — Exemption) Order 2021, in the Schedule —

(a)

replace Part 6 with —

”;

(b)

in Part 11, delete Map A11.2; and

(c)

after Part 12, insert —
