Sewerage and Drainage
(Trade Effluent) (Amendment)
Regulations 2021
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 74 of the Sewerage and Drainage Act, the Public Utilities Board, with the approval of the Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Sewerage and Drainage (Trade Effluent) (Amendment) Regulations 2021 and come into operation on 1 January 2022.
Amendment of regulation 11
2.  Regulation 11 of the Sewerage and Drainage (Trade Effluent) Regulations (Rg 5) is amended by deleting paragraph (6) and substituting the following paragraphs:
“(6)  Subject to paragraph (7), the fee mentioned in paragraph (5) must be calculated as follows:
(a)for a bill issued on or after 23 October 2016 but before 23 March 2022 — in accordance with the scale set out in the Fourth Schedule;
(b)for a bill issued on or after 23 March 2022 — in accordance with the scale set out in the Fifth Schedule.
(7)  For the purpose of paragraph (6), any fraction of a dollar of a fee calculated pursuant to that paragraph is to be ignored.”.
New Fifth Schedule
3.  The Sewerage and Drainage (Trade Effluent) Regulations are amended by inserting, immediately after the Fourth Schedule, the following Schedule:
