(Amendment of Fifth Schedule)
Order 2024
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 64(1) of the Workplace Safety and Health Act 2006, the Minister for Manpower makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order is the Workplace Safety and Health Act 2006 (Amendment of Fifth Schedule) Order 2024 and comes into operation on 1 January 2025.
Amendment of Fifth Schedule
2.  In the Workplace Safety and Health Act 2006, in the Fifth Schedule —
(a)in Part 1, replace item 5 with —
5.Bar‑benders, sheet benders and sheet rollers”;
(b)in Part 1, in item 11, delete the full‑stop at the end;
(c)in Part 1, after item 11, insert —
12.Lathes and milling machines
13.Machines designed for industrial use for any of the following purposes:
(a)cutting, including table saws and slicing machines;
(b)packaging, including palletisers, balers and compactors;
(c)mixing by mechanical movement, including paddle mixers and ribbon mixers;
(d)handling or processing food, including grinders, mincers, blenders and juicers”;
(d)in Part 2, in item 17, delete the full‑stop at the end;
(e)in Part 2, after item 17, insert —
18.  Combustible dust”; and
(f)after Part 2, insert —

DEFINITIONS
In this Schedule —
“abrasive” has the meaning given by regulation 2 of the Workplace Safety and Health (Abrasive Blasting) Regulations 2008 (G.N. No. S 607/2008);
“blasting” has the meaning given by regulation 2 of the Workplace Safety and Health (Abrasive Blasting) Regulations 2008;
“combustible dust” has the meaning given by regulation 2 of the Workplace Safety and Health (General Provisions) Regulations (Rg 1);
“toxic substance” has the meaning given by regulation 2 of the Workplace Safety and Health (General Provisions) Regulations.”.
