Bus Services Industry (Bus Service Licence)
(Amendment) Regulations 2020

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 49 of the Bus Services Industry Act 2015, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Bus Services Industry (Bus Service Licence) (Amendment) Regulations 2020 and come into operation on 10 Feburary 2020.

Amendment of regulation 4

2. Regulation 4 of the Bus Services Industry (Bus Service Licence) Regulations 2016 (G.N. No. S 33/2016) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations) is amended —

(a)

by deleting paragraph (2); and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after paragraph (3), the following paragraph:

“(4) An application for or to renew a Class 2 bus service licence must be accompanied by an application fee of $40.”.

Amendment of regulation 6

3. Regulation 6 of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting paragraph (1) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(1) An application to amend an operating schedule of a bus service licence must —

(a)	be made by the licensee concerned in the form and manner the LTA requires; and
(b)	where the operating schedule to be amended is in respect of a Class 2 bus service licence, be accompanied by an application fee of $40.”.

New regulation 6B

4. The principal Regulations are amended by inserting, immediately after regulation 6A, the following regulation:

“Consent to surrender bus service licence

6B. An application for the consent of the LTA to surrender a bus service licence must —

(a)	be made by the licensee concerned to the LTA in the form and manner the LTA requires; and
(b)	where the bus service licence to be surrendered is a Class 2 bus service licence, be accompanied by an application fee of $40.”.
