Remote Gambling
(Agency for Science, Technology and
Research — Exemption) Order 2021

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 40 of the Remote Gambling Act 2014, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Order:

Citation

1. This Order is the Remote Gambling (Agency for Science, Technology and Research — Exemption) Order 2021.

Definitions

2. In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires —

“draw” means the draw to be held as part of the promotion at the Institute of Bioengineering and Bioimaging, 31 Biopolis Way, The Nanos, #07-10, Singapore 138669 at 11 a.m. on 22 December 2021;

“organiser” means the Agency for Science, Technology and Research established by section 3 of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research Act (Cap. 5A);

“promotion” means the promotion called “IBB Followers LinkedIn Giveaway” that is to be made available from 13 December 2021 to 21 December 2021 (both dates inclusive) on the LinkedIn social media platform maintained by the organiser;

“public accountant” has the meaning given by section 2(1) of the Accountants Act (Cap. 2).

Exemption

3.—(1) The organiser is exempt from sections 11, 13, 15 and 17 of the Act in respect of the promotion and the draw.

(2) The exemption is subject to compliance by the organiser with the conditions specified in the Schedule.
