Town Council of Hougang (Conservancy and Service Charges) (Amendment) By-laws 2003

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24(1) of the Town Councils Act, the Town Council for the Town of Hougang hereby makes the following By-laws:

Citation and commencement

1. These By-laws be cited as the Town Council of Hougang (Conservancy and Service Charges) (Amendment) By-laws 2003 and shall come into operation on 1st March 2003.

Amendment of Schedule

2. The Schedule to the Town Council of Hougang (Conservancy and Service Charges) By-laws (By 83) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “Items 1 to 5” immediately below the heading “Monthly conservancy and service charges” in the second column;

(b)

by deleting items 6 to 12 and substituting the following items:

6.	Executive apartment

8.	Shop with living accommodation

$1.54 per square metre of the area of the shop subject to a minimum of $49.50 in addition to the reduced rate of conversancy and service charges of the equivalent room type.

9.	Shop without living accommodation

$1.54 per square metre of the area of the shop subject to a minimum of $49.50.

10.	Kiosk and shoplet

$1.54 per square metre of the area of the premises subject to a minimum of $49.50.

Stall —

(a)	Cooked food stall

$130.25 per 10 square metres of the stall area or part thereof.

(b)	Fruit, preserved and dried goods, fresh fish and seafood, meat or poultry stall

$65.65 per 10 square metres of the stall area or part thereof.

(c)	Vegetable, bean curd and noodle, egg, ground assorted spices or miscellaneous stall

$39.40 per 10 square metres of the stall area or part thereof.

(d)	Piece and sundry stall

$76.75 per 10 square metres of the stall area or part thereof.

12.	Other commercial property

$1.54 per square metre of the area of the property subject to a minimum of $49.50.

(c)

by deleting the words “items 1 to 5” in paragraphs (1) and (2) under the heading “Note” and substituting in each case the words “items 1 to 7”.
