(Amendment) Regulations 2024
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 82 of the Merchant Shipping (Maritime Labour Convention) Act 2014, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Merchant Shipping (Maritime Labour Convention) (Seafarer Recruitment and Placement Services) (Amendment) Regulations 2024 and come into operation on 23 December 2024.
Amendment of regulation 15
2.  In the Merchant Shipping (Maritime Labour Convention) (Seafarer Recruitment and Placement Services) Regulations 2014 (G.N. No. S 178/2014), in regulation 15, after “to meet its obligations to them”, insert “, and to ensure that seafarers are informed, prior to or in the process of engagement, of their rights under that system”.
