(Chapter 13)
Arms and Explosives (Exemption from Section 13) Order 2010
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 44B of the Arms and Explosives Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.—(1)  This Order may be cited as the Arms and Explosives (Exemption from section 13) Order 2010.
(2)  This Order shall come into operation on 14th August 2010 and shall remain in operation until 26th August 2010 (both dates inclusive).
Definitions
2.  In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires —
“relevant authority” means the Officer-in-Charge, Arms and Explosives Branch of the Singapore Police Force;
“YOG” means the Youth Olympic Games 2010.
Exemption for authorised persons servicing or repairing air-guns
3.  A person who is authorised by the organising committee of the YOG to undertake the servicing and repair of any air-gun for the purpose of any competition involving arms at the YOG, or for any related purpose connected to any such competition, shall be exempt from section 13 of the Act in relation to possessing, controlling and dealing in any such air-gun, if —
(a)the air-gun is serviced or repaired only at such premises as the relevant authority approves (referred to in this Order as approved premises); and
(b)the person maintains a register of every such air-gun that he has serviced or repaired at the approved premises, and makes the register available for inspection by the relevant authority at all reasonable times.
