(Exemption) Order 2019
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 66 of the Active Mobility Act 2017, the Minister for Transport makes the following Order:
Citation
1.  This Order is the Active Mobility (Singapore Duathlon 2019) (Exemption) Order 2019.
Definitions
2.  In this Order —
“Singapore Duathlon 2019” means the event known as Singapore Duathlon 2019 jointly organised by the society registered under the Societies Act (Cap. 311) known as Triathlon Association Of Singapore (UEN S92SS0052C) and Orange Room Pte. Ltd. (UEN 200811733N) on 20 January 2019, from 5.30 a.m. to 11 a.m.;
“specified shared path” means any shared path located on or in the vicinity of the orange‑coloured line in the map set out in the Schedule.
Exemption for bicycle riders
3.  Section 21 of the Act does not apply to an individual who rides a bicycle on the specified shared path, in connection with Singapore Duathlon 2019, if all of the following conditions are satisfied:
(a)the individual is a registered participant of Singapore Duathlon 2019;
(b)there is in force, at any time the bicycle is used in connection with Singapore Duathlon 2019, a policy of insurance in relation to the bicycle, insuring against any liability in respect of the death of or bodily injury sustained by any person, or property damage suffered by any person, caused by or arising out of the use of the bicycle.
