Building Control (Exemption from Independence of Structural Engineer) Notification 1996

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 29(5) of the Building Control Act, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Notification:

1. This Notification may be cited as the Building Control (Exemption from Independence of Structural Engineer) Notification 1996 and shall come into operation on 15th July 1996.

2. Section 29(1) of the Act shall not apply to any building owned by —

(a)	the Housing and Development Board;
(b)	the Land Transport Authority of Singapore; or
(c)	the Port of Singapore Authority.
