DIRECTIONS UNDER SECTION 11(c)

The Minister for Finance has directed that the Registrar of Businesses shall not accept for registration under the Act —

(a)	the names “Singapore Port Institute” and “World Trade Centre Singapore” in any business name; [S 481/89 [15.12.89]
(b)	the word “Raffles” in any business name if the activities of the businesses involve the operation of a hotel, motel or lodging-house; and [S 162/91 [12.4.91]
(c)	the word “Temasek” in any business name unless Temasek Holdings (Pte.) Ltd. (Registration No. 1740O1143C) is the sole-proprietor or a partner of the business; [S 264/91 [14.6.91]
(d)	any business name containing the words “Singapore Post” or any abbreviation thereof of like import, other than in respect of a registration of an entity by the Telecommunication Authority of Singapore or any person duly authorised by it; and [551/91] [18.10.91]
(e)	the name “The Esplanade — Theatres on the Bay”. [775/94] [4.11.94]
