Customs (Liquors Licensing) (Exemption for
SUVAI 2014) Order 2014
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 71(5) of the Customs Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order may be cited as the Customs (Liquors Licensing) (Exemption for SUVAI 2014) Order 2014 and shall come into operation on 17th July 2014.
Exemption for SUVAI 2014 organiser
2.  No licence under section 71(1) of the Act is required for the sale by retail of intoxicating liquors by the Little India Shopkeepers and Heritage Association between 17th July and 20th July 2014 (both dates inclusive) within the tent erected in the open space bounded by Birch Road, Farrer Park Station Road, Burmah Road and Serangoon Road in connection with the event known as SUVAI 2014.
Conditions
3.  The exemption for the Little India Shopkeepers and Heritage Association is subject to the following conditions:
(a)no intoxicating liquor is sold to an individual below the age of 18 years or to any individual who is apparently drunk;
(b)the sale of intoxicating liquor is solely for consumption within that tent referred to in paragraph 2;
(c)intoxicating liquor may only be sold within 10 a.m. and 11 p.m. each day;
(d)before the sale of intoxicating liquor starts each day, the Commissioner of Police is provided with the names and particulars of all persons employed by the Little India Shopkeepers and Heritage Association to sell intoxicating liquor within that tent.
