Designation of Sectors under the Supervision of Sector Administrators

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 40B and the definition of “sector” in section 40A of the Charities Act, the Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports hereby gives notice as follows:

1. The Minister has appointed the persons or organisations specified in the first column of the Schedule to be the Sector Administrator under section 40B for the sector designated in the second column thereto, with effect from 1st March 2007.

2. For the purposes of paragraph 1, if the activities of any charity or institution of a public character fall within more than one sector designated in the second column of the Schedule, the activities of that charity or institution of a public character shall be deemed to fall within only one of those sectors as the Minister or the Commissioner may from time to time direct and that charity or institution of a public character shall only be under the supervision of the Sector Administrator for that sector.
