(Exemption) (No. 71)
Notification 2014

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Common Gaming Houses Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation

1. This Notification may be cited as the Common Gaming Houses (Exemption) (No. 71) Notification 2014.

Definition

2. In this Notification, “organisers” means —

(a)	the Bukit Gombak Senior Citizens’ Executive Committee;
(b)	the Bukit Gombak Community Sports Club;
(c)	the Guilin Residents’ Committee;
(d)	the Goodview Garden Residents’ Committee;
(e)	the SunShine Residents’ Committee; and
(f)	the Hillgrove Residents’ Committee.

Exemption

3.—(1) The Minister hereby exempts the organisers from the provisions of the Act in respect of —

(a)	the “Bukit Gombak Mind Game Mahjong Challenges 2014” promotion to be held from 21 October 2014 to 2 November 2014 (both dates inclusive); and
(b)	the mahjong games to be held at the seminar room of Bukit Batok Civil Service Club House as part of that promotion from 8 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. on 2 November 2014.

(2) The exemption is subject to compliance by the organisers with the conditions specified in the Schedule.
