(Exemption) (No. 78)
Notification 2014
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Common Gaming Houses Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Notification:
Citation
1.  This Notification may be cited as the Common Gaming Houses (Exemption) (No. 78) Notification 2014.
Definition
2.  In this Notification, “organisers” means —
(a)the Punggol Central Active Ageing Committee;
(b)the Sengkang Community Club Senior Citizens’ Executive Committee; and
(c)the People’s Association Active Ageing Council.
Exemption
3.—(1)  The Minister hereby exempts the organisers from the provisions of the Act in respect of —
(a)the “PA Active Agers’ Mind Games (Rummi-O & Mahjong) Challenge 2014” promotion to be held from 19 November 2014 to 7 December 2014 (both dates inclusive); and
(b)the Rummi-O and mahjong games to be held at the multi‑purpose hall of Sengkang Community Club as part of that promotion from 12 noon to 5 p.m. on 7 December 2014.
(2)  The exemption is subject to compliance by the organisers with the conditions specified in the Schedule.
