Responsibility for Portfolio of Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports

It is hereby notified for general information that, pursuant to Article 30(1) of the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore, the Prime Minister has directed that Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts, shall, with effect from 21st May 2011, be charged with the responsibility for the portfolio of the Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports in so far as such responsibility relates to the following departments and subjects:

(a)	Registry of Muslim Marriages;
(b)	Syariah Court;
(c)	Majlis Ugama Islam, Singapura;
(d)	Muslim Affairs;
(e)	Registration of Muslim Marriages; and
(f)	Registration of Muslim Divorces.

Citation

2. This Notification may be cited as the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore (Responsibility for the Portfolio of the Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports) (No. 2) Notification 2011.

Cancellation

3. The Constitution of the Republic of Singapore (Responsibility for the Portfolio of the Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports) (No. 2) Notification 2006 (G.N. No. S 323/2006) is cancelled.
