Central Provident Fund
(Specified Amount for Medisave Account)
Order 2011
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 15(6D) of the Central Provident Fund Act, the Minister for Manpower hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order may be cited as the Central Provident Fund (Specified Amount for Medisave Account) Order 2011 and shall come into operation on 30th December 2011.
Specified amount for purposes of section 15(6)(b) of Act
2.—(1)  The amount specified for the purposes of section 15(6)(b) of the Act in respect of any retired public officer who is entitled to medical benefits under the Co-payment on Ward Charges Scheme administered by the Public Service Division, Prime Minister’s Office, and in respect of any person who is entitled to medical benefits under any other scheme which, in the opinion of the Minister for Health, confers medical benefits equivalent to those under the Co-payment on Ward Charges Scheme, shall be —
(a)$8,250, for the period ending on 31st December 2011; and
(b)$9,600, for the period beginning on 1st January 2012.
(2)  The amount specified for the purposes of section 15(6)(b) of the Act in respect of any person other than a retired public officer or person referred to in paragraph (1) shall be —
(a)$27,500, for the period ending on 31st December 2011; and
(b)$32,000, for the period beginning on 1st January 2012.
Revocation
3.  The Central Provident Fund (Specified Amount for Medisave Account) Order (O 5) is revoked.
Made this 27th day of December 2011.
