Citation |
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Essential (Carrying of Firearms and Ammunition) Regulations. |
Application |
Definitions |
3. In these Regulations, the expressions “ammunition”, “firearm”, “security area” and “security forces” shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in section 2 of the Internal Security Act [Cap. 143]. |
Prohibition on carrying of firearm and ammunition |
4.—(1) No person shall during the hours specified in the notification referred to in regulation 2(2) carry any firearm or ammunition in any security area to which these Regulations apply.

Saving |
5. Regulation 4 shall not apply to a member of the security forces. |
Exemption |
6. The Commissioner of Police or any police officer authorised by him in writing may in relation to any security area exempt any person or class of persons from regulation 4. |
