Interpretation (Payment Systems (Oversight) Act 2006 — Fees) Order 2006

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 46(1) of the Interpretation Act, the Senior Minister hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Interpretation (Payment Systems (Oversight) Act 2006 — Fees) Order 2006 and shall come into operation on 23rd June 2006.

Definitions

2. In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires —

“Act” means the Payment Systems (Oversight) Act 2006 (Act 1 of 2006);

“approved bank” has the same meaning as in section 2(1) of the Act;

“approved holder” has the same meaning as in section 2(1) of the Act;

“Authority” means the Monetary Authority of Singapore established under the Monetary Authority of Singapore Act (Cap. 186);

“stored value facility” has the same meaning as in section 2(1) of the Act.

Fees in respect of matters under Payment Systems (Oversight) Act 2006

3. The fee specified in the second column of the Schedule shall be paid to the Authority in such manner as the Authority may determine in respect of a matter under the Act set out in the first column thereof.
