International Enterprise Singapore Board (Textile Levy) Order 2004
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 11 of the International Enterprise Singapore Board Act, the International Enterprise Singapore Board, with the approval of the Minister for Trade and Industry, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order may be cited as the International Enterprise Singapore Board (Textile Levy) Order 2004 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2005.
Levy
2.  —(1)  A levy shall be imposed on all textiles which are exported under the Preferential Tariff Quota Allocation System to any of the countries specified in the Schedule.
(2)  In relation to the export of textiles under the Preferential Tariff Quota Allocation System to any of the countries specified in the Schedule —
(a)where the tariff quotas are allocated to exporters by tender, the levy payable shall be based on the tender price bid by the successful bidder for that tariff quota; and
(b)where the tariff quotas are allocated to exporters on the basis of their past performance, the levy shall be payable at the rate of one cent per square metre equivalent of textiles.
(3)  The levy referred to in this paragraph shall be paid by the exporter of the textiles.
Revocation
3.  The International Enterprise Singapore Board (Textile Levy) Order 2003 (G.N. No. S 501/2003) is revoked.
