Citation
1.  These Regulations may be cited as Jurong Town Corporation (Common Seal) Regulations.
Seal
2.—(1)  There shall be made in accordance with section 32(1)(b) of the Act, a common seal bearing the inscription “Jurong Town Corporation, Singapore”.
(2)  The seal may from time to time be broken, changed, altered and made anew as to the Corporation seems fit and shall be kept at the office for the time being of the Corporation.
Affixing seal
3.—(1)  Subject to paragraph (2), all deeds, documents and other instruments requiring the seal of the Corporation shall be sealed with the common seal of the Corporation by the authority of the Corporation in the presence of the Chairman or the chief executive officer and of some other person duly authorised by the Corporation to act in that behalf and shall be signed by the Chairman or the chief executive officer and by such duly authorised person, and such signing shall be sufficient evidence that the common seal of the Corporation has been duly and properly affixed and that the seal is the lawful common seal of the Corporation.

(2)  All deeds, documents and other instruments which relate to the sale, lease, assignment, mortgage or assurance of any premises sold or leased by the Corporation —
(a)may be sealed with the common seal of the Corporation by the authority of the Corporation in the presence of any person duly authorised by the Corporation to act in that behalf; and
(b)shall be signed by such duly authorised person.

(3)  The signing under paragraph (2) shall be sufficient evidence that the common seal of the Corporation has been duly and properly affixed and that the seal is the lawful common seal of the Corporation.

Execution of documents
4.—(1)  Any contract or other document, which if made between private persons or by a private person would be required to be in writing under seal, shall if made by the Corporation be in writing under the seal of the Corporation.
(2)  Any contract or other document, which if made between private persons would be required to be in writing signed by the parties to be charged therewith, shall if made by the Corporation be either in writing under the seal of the Corporation or in writing signed by the Chairman or any other officer of the Corporation duly authorised by the Corporation in that behalf.
