Legal Profession (Prescribed Statutory Bodies and Law Offices in Public Service) Rules 2009
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(1) (definition of “relevant legal officer”) of the Legal Profession Act, the Minister for Law hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Legal Profession (Prescribed Statutory Bodies and Law Offices in Public Service) Rules 2009 and shall come into operation on 9th October 2009.
Prescribed statutory bodies and law offices in public service
2.  For the purposes of paragraph (b) of the definition of “relevant legal officer” in section 2(1) of the Act, the prescribed statutory bodies and law offices in the public service are —
(a)the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore;
(b)the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore;
(c)the Singapore Land Authority;
(d)the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore; and
(e)the National Environment Agency.
