Moneylenders Act 2008

Moneylenders (Composition of Offences) Rules 2009
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 34(3) of the Moneylenders Act 2008, the Minister for Law hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Moneylenders (Composition of Offences) Rules 2009 and shall come into operation on 1st March 2009.
Compoundable offences
2.  The following offences (other than a continuing offence) may be compounded by the Registrar in accordance with section 34(1) of the Act:
(a)any offence under section 10(13) or (14), 11A(12), 11B(12), 11C(5), 11D(5), 12(15), 15(2), 17(2), 18(2), 19(5), 20(2)(b) (read with section 20(2A)(a)), 21(7), 22(3), 22A(4), 24(5) or (6), 26(3), 30H(3), 30I(6), 30J(7)(b) or (8)(b), 30L(2)(a), 30N(8), 30O(3), 30P(2), 30Q(4), 30R(2), 30S(4), 30T(2), 30U(4), 30V(5), 30W(4), 30X(4), 30Y(4), 30Z(8), 30ZA(3), 30ZB(6), 30ZD(11) or (12), 30ZE(2) or 30ZF(2) of the Act;

(b)any offence under the Moneylenders Rules 2009 (G.N. No. S 72/2009); and
(c)any offence under the Moneylenders (Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism) Rules 2009 (G.N. No. S 73/2009).

Revocation
3.  The Moneylenders (Composition of Offences) Rules 2004 (G.N. No. S 552/2004) are revoked.
