Appointment of Competent Authority
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3(4) of the Official Secrets Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby appoints the Deputy Director, Operations Department, Police Headquarters to be the competent authority for the purposes of section 3(3) of the Act, with effect from 24th August 1999.
2.  Notification No. S 417/98 of 31st July 1998 is cancelled.
