Appointment of Competent Authority
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3(4) of the Official Secrets Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby appoints the Assistant Director CID (Support & Services), Criminal Investigation Department to be the competent authority for the purposes of section 3(3) of the Act, with effect from 1st February 1996.

2.  Notification No. N 1 is cancelled.
