Cessation of Lock-up As A Place of Confinement

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4(1) of the Prisons Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby cancels the appointment of the lock-up at Geylang Police Division Headquarters as a place for the confinement of persons awaiting trial or of persons remanded or sentenced to any term of imprisonment not exceeding one month, with effect from 1st April 2002.

2. Item (8) of Gazette Notification (N 1, 2002 Ed.) relating to the appointment of the lock-up at Geylang Police Division Headquarters is deleted.
