Probate and Administration (Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China) Notification 1999

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 46(5) of the Probate and Administration Act, the Minister for Law hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Probate and Administration (Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China) Notification 1999 and shall come into operation on 1st March 1999.

Application of section 46 (1) of Act

2. The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China shall be a territory to which paragraph (b) of section 46(1) of the Act applies, and 1st July 1997 shall be the relevant date in respect of that territory for the purposes of that paragraph.
