Public Entertainments and Meetings Act
(Chapter 257)
Public Entertainments and Meetings (Exemption) Order 2002
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 of the Public Entertainments and Meetings Act, Mr David Lim Tik En, Senior Minister of State, charged with the responsibility of the Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order may be cited as the Public Entertainments and Meetings (Exemption) Order 2002 and shall come into operation on 1st July 2002.
Definition
2.  In this Order, “arts entertainment” has the same meaning as in the Schedule to the Act.
Exemption
3.  The Minister hereby exempts any arts entertainment which is held in a building or tent from the requirement in section 12 of the Act that the licence for such arts entertainment be prominently displayed at the building or tent.
