Public Entertainments (Exemption) Order 1997

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 15 of the Public Entertainments Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Public Entertainments (Exemption) Order 1997 and shall come into operation on 1st January 1998.

Exemption

2. The following classes of public entertainments are exempted from the provisions of the Act:

(a)	exhibition of films in any cinema;
(b)	any exhibition of the products of industries or of materials or of information relating to any trade or industry;
(c)	any exhibition of information relating to the sale of land or real property;
(d)	any transmission of recorded-music in restaurants, except during any time when the premises are being operated as a public house;
(e)	exhibitions of animals including pet shows.
