DRESS REGULATIONS

Uniform

24. The Order of Dress and the occasions when Dress is to be worn, the specifications of the articles of uniform and accoutrements to be worn and of their standard materials, the scales of issue of uniform and accoutrements and the manner in which certain articles of uniform and accoutrements are to be worn shall be laid down by the Commissioner in such manner as he deems fit.

Badge and Crest

25.—(1) The Singapore Police Force Badge shall be a device consisting of a shield on which is emblazoned 5 stars on a crescent moon surrounded by a paddy wreath — all surmounting a ribbon worded POLIS REPABLIK SINGAPURA.

(2) The Singapore Police Force Crest shall consist of a shield bearing a white crescent moon and 5 stars emblazoned on a red background, surrounded by a paddy wreath — all surmounting a ribbon worded POLIS REPABLIK SINGAPURA in white on a blue background.

Badges and titles of rank

26. The following badges of rank shall be worn by the respective members of the Singapore Police Force:

COMMISSIONER:

Embroidered silver crossed batons on an embroidered silver laurel surmounted by an embroidered silver military pattern star embossed with a cross cut circle on which are emblazoned 5 stars on a crescent moon, and an embroidered silver lion rampant guardant on the left and a tiger rampant guardant on the right each standing on a palm frond joined at the base, supporting between them a shield on which is emblazoned 5 stars on a crescent moon, mounted on black cloth and worn on shoulder straps.

A silver lion rampant guardant on the left and a tiger rampant guardant on the right, each standing on a palm frond joined at the base, supporting between them a shield bearing 5 stars on a crescent moon and worn on shoulder straps.

Cap:

1.6 cm silver embroidery on the peak.

Hat:

With gold beret flash for Gurkha officers.
