(National Day Parade 2016)
Declaration 2016
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 of the Public Order Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Declaration:
Citation
1.  This Declaration is the Public Order (National Day Parade 2016) Declaration 2016.
National Day Parade 2016 is special event
2.  The event known as the National Day Parade 2016, taking place at the National Stadium in Singapore —
(a)on 9 August 2016; or
(b)on 13 August 2016 if it did not take place earlier,
is declared a special event for the purposes of Part III of the Act.
Special event area
3.—(1)  The special event area for the National Day Parade 2016 is the area around the Singapore Sports Hub at the Kallang Basin described in the Schedule.
(2)  However, any land that is not a public place is not part of the special event area.
Period of special event
4.  This Declaration is in force —
(a)in the case where the National Day Parade 2016 is held on 9 August 2016, for the whole of 9 August 2016 only; or
(b)in the case where the National Day Parade 2016 is held on 13 August 2016 instead, for the whole of 13 August 2016 only.
