Declaration 2018

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21, read with section 21A, of the Public Order Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Declaration:

Citation

1. This Declaration is the Public Order (Summit between the United States of America and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea) Declaration 2018.

Summit between the United States of America and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is special event

2.—(1) The Summit between the United States of America and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea taking place in Singapore between 10 June 2018 and 14 June 2018 (both dates inclusive) is declared a special event for the purposes of Part III of the Act.

(2) To avoid doubt, the Summit between the United States of America and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea may consist of a series of meetings between representatives of the United States of America and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and includes any lead‑in activities and social events connected with the Summit.

Special event area

3.—(1) The special event area for the Summit between the United States of America and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is described in the Schedule.

(2) However, any land that is not a public place is not part of the special event area.

Special event period

4. This Declaration is in force for the period between 10 June 2018 and 14 June 2018 (both dates inclusive).
