Declaration 2015

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 of the Public Order Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Declaration:

Citation

1. This Declaration may be cited as the Public Order (National Day Parade 2015) Declaration 2015.

National Day Parade 2015 is special event

2. The National Day Parade 2015 taking place at the Padang in Singapore —

(a)	on 9 August 2015; or
(b)	on 16 August 2015 if it did not take place earlier,

is declared a special event for the purposes of Part III of the Act.

Special event area

3.—(1) The special event area for the National Day Parade 2015 is the area around the Padang described in the Schedule.

(2) However, any land that is not a public place is not part of the special event area.

Special event period

4. This Declaration is in force —

(a)	in the case where the National Day Parade 2015 is held on 9 August 2015, for the whole of 9 August 2015 only; or
(b)	in the case where the National Day Parade 2015 is held on 16 August 2015 instead, for the whole of 16 August 2015 only.
