Declaration 2020

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21, read with section 21A, of the Public Order Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Declaration:

Citation

1. This Declaration is the Public Order (National Day Parade 2020) Declaration 2020.

National Day Parade 2020 is special event

2. The event known as the National Day Parade 2020, taking place at the following locations and periods, is declared a special event for the purposes of Part III of the Act:

(a)	the Padang from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. on 9 August 2020;
(b)	The Star Vista from 3 p.m. to 11.59 p.m. on 9 August 2020.

Special event areas

3.—(1) The special event areas for the National Day Parade 2020 are —

(a)	the area around the Padang described in the First Schedule; and
(b)	the area around The Star Vista described in the Second Schedule.

(2) However, any land that is not a public place is not part of the special event areas.

Period of special event

4. The Declaration is in force —

(a)	for the National Day Parade 2020 held at the Padang, from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. on 9 August 2020 only; and
(b)	for the National Day Parade 2020 held at The Star Vista, from 3 p.m. to 11.59 p.m. on 9 August 2020 only.
