Road Traffic (Youth Olympic Games 2010) (Exemption) (No. 2) Order 2010
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport hereby makes the following Order:
Citation
1.  This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Youth Olympic Games 2010) (Exemption) (No. 2) Order 2010.
Definition
2.  In this Order, “Youth Olympic Games 2010” means the 2010 Youth Olympic Games to be held in Singapore from 14th August 2010 to 26th August 2010 (both dates inclusive).
Exemption
3.—(1)  Subject to sub-paragraph (2), section 126 of the Act and the Road Traffic (Carriage of Persons in Goods Vehicles) (Consolidation) Rules (R 1) shall not apply to any person driving or using the vehicle bearing the registration number YK1193R to film or photograph the torch relay of the Youth Olympic Games 2010 —
(a)on 7th August 2010 and 8th August 2010; and
(b)from 10th August 2010 to 14th August 2010 (both dates inclusive).
(2)  The exemption referred to in sub-paragraph (1) is subject to the following conditions in relation to the vehicle referred to in that sub-paragraph:
(a)there shall be in force at all times a policy of insurance, in relation to the vehicle, insuring against any liability in respect of damage to any property or the death of, or bodily injury sustained by, any person caused by or arising out of the use of the vehicle;
(b)the vehicle shall not travel at a speed exceeding 15km/h when it is being used to film or photograph the torch relay of the Youth Olympic Games 2010; and
(c)the vehicle shall be used under the escort of auxiliary police officers.
