(Exemption) (No. 5)
Order 2011

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport hereby makes the following Order:

Citation

1. This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Temporary Private Hire Cars) (Exemption) (No. 5) Order 2011.

Exemption

2. Section 101 of the Act shall not apply to a vehicle which bears any registration number set out in the Schedule and which —

(a)	is used as a private hire car between 4th October 2011 and 8th October 2011 (both dates inclusive) by the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry for the purpose of the event known as the World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention 2011;
(b)	has valid insurance cover for its use as a private hire car when it is so used; and
(c)	displays a label issued by the Registrar in such manner as he may require.
