Road Traffic
(Night at Orchard Market — Exemption)
(No. 2) Order 2019
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Order:
Citation and period in force
1.—(1)  This Order is the Road Traffic (Night at Orchard Market — Exemption) (No. 2) Order 2019.
(2)  This Order is in force for the period starting at 12 a.m. on 4 October 2019 and ending at 2 a.m. on 17 February 2020.
Definitions
2.  In this Order —
“food truck” means a vehicle bearing any of the following vehicle registration numbers:
(a)YN6655B;
(b)YM7690Y;
(c)YN3167M;
(d)YN6511H;
(e)YN8229K;
(f)YL6996C;
“Night at Orchard Market” means the event organised by Orchard Road Business Association (UEN S99SS0041D) and held at the specified footway on the following dates (all dates inclusive):
(a)from 4 October 2019 to 7 October 2019;
(b)from 1 November 2019 to 4 November 2019;
(c)from 15 November 2019 to 18 November 2019;
(d)from 3 January 2020 to 6 January 2020;
(e)from 31 January 2020 to 3 February 2020;
(f)from 14 February 2020 to 17 February 2020;
“specified footway” means the part of the footway between Orchard Road and Ngee Ann City that is shaded in the map set out in the Schedule.
Exemption
3.  Rule 28(1) of the Road Traffic Rules (R 20) does not apply to the driving or parking of any food truck, for the purpose of the Night at Orchard Market, on the specified footway.
