Citation and commencement |
1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Power-Assisted Bicycles — Approval) Rules 2004 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2005. |

Power-assisted bicycles to be approved and sealed |
Approval of power-assisted bicycles |
4.—(1) Any person who wishes to obtain an authorised examiner’s approval in respect of any model of power-assisted bicycle shall apply to him for such approval in such form or manner as he may determine.

Sealing of power-assisted bicycles |
5.—(1) Every power-assisted bicycle that has been approved by an authorised examiner under rule 4 shall be affixed with such seal, mark or other device and in such manner as the Registrar may determine for the purpose of indicating that that power-assisted bicycle has been so approved.

Waiver |
6. The Registrar or an authorised officer may, in any particular case, waive the operation of any provision in the Schedule to these Rules subject to such conditions as the Registrar or the authorised officer may impose. [S 734/2015 wef 01/12/2015] |
