Road Traffic (Temporary Private Hire Cars for Use During Festive Occasion) (Exemption) Order 1996

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Communications hereby makes the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Temporary Private Hire Cars for Use during Festive Occasion) (Exemption) Order 1996.

2. Section 101 of the Act shall not apply to any private motor car which —

(a)	is temporarily used as a private hire car during the period from 18th February 1996 to 21st February 1996 (both dates inclusive); and
(b)	has valid insurance cover for its use as a private hire car when it is being so used.

Made this 10th day of February 1996.
