Road Traffic (Temporary Private Hire Cars) (Exemption) Order 2006

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport hereby makes the following Order:

Citation

1. This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Temporary Private Hire Cars) (Exemption) Order 2006.

Exemption

2. Section 101 of the Act shall not apply to a vehicle which bears any registration number set out in the Schedule and which —

(a)	is used as a private hire car between 17th February 2006 and 27th February 2006 (both dates inclusive) by C & P Rent-A-Car (Pte) Ltd for the purpose of the Asian Aerospace Exhibition 2006;
(b)	has valid insurance cover for its use as a private hire car when it is so used; and
(c)	displays a label issued by the Registrar in such manner as he may require.
