Pingat Pentadbiran Awam (The Public Administration Medal) Rules 1996 |

1. These Rules may be cited as the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam (The Public Administration Medal) Rules 1996 and shall come into operation on 2nd August 1996. |
2. The Medal shall be designated and styled the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam or the Public Administration Medal. |
3. There shall be 3 grades of the Medal, namely, gold, silver and bronze. |
4. The Medal may be awarded to any of the following persons for outstanding efficiency, competence and industry:

5. The Medal shall consist of 4 integrated and perforated pentagons having, on the obverse side, a four-pointed star upon which shall be a shield bearing a crescent and 5 stars. Below the shield there shall be a scroll bearing the inscription “PINGAT PENTADBIRAN AWAM”. The reverse side of the Medal shall bear the State Arms. |
6. The Medal shall be of the design as set out in the Schedule. |
7. The Medal shall be worn on the left side of the outer garment suspended by a ribbon. The ribbon shall consist of a red centre band flanked immediately on each side by a white stripe, followed by a grey stripe with a thin red stripe, in the centre, then a white band, a thin grey stripe, a thin red stripe and finally, a grey band, in that order. |
9. The names of the persons to whom the Medal or a Bar thereto is awarded shall be published in the Gazette and a register of such names shall be kept in the office of the Prime Minister. |
10. The President may forfeit any Medal or Bar awarded to any person under these Rules if —

11.—(1) The Rules governing the award of the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam (The Public Administration Medal) (hereafter referred to as the revoked Rules) published as Notification No. S 94 in the Subsidiary Legislation Supplement to the Gazette of 31st of May 1963 are revoked.
