Singapore Tourism (Tourist Hotels, Tourist Food
Establishments and Tourist Public Houses)
Notification 2014
In exercise of the powers conferred by the definitions of “tourist hotel”, “tourist food establishment” and “tourist public house” in section 2 of the Singapore Tourism (Cess Collection) Act, Mr S Iswaran, Second Minister for Trade and Industry, charged with the responsibility for the portfolio of the Minister for Trade and Industry relating to tourism, hereby makes the following Notification:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Notification may be cited as the Singapore Tourism (Tourist Hotels, Tourist Food Establishments and Tourist Public Houses) Notification 2014 and shall come into operation on 2nd May 2014.
Definition
2.  For the purposes of this Notification, “hotel” includes any place or premises in the hotel used for the sale or for the preparation for sale of food or drink, whether cooked or not, intended for human consumption, whether the place or premises is owned or managed by the proprietor of the hotel.
Hotels
3.  The hotels which are registered as hotels under the provisions of the Hotels Act (Cap. 127), and which are set out in the Schedule, have been declared to be tourist hotels, tourist food establishments and tourist public houses.
Cancellation
4.  The Singapore Tourism (Tourist Hotels, Tourist Food Establishments and Tourist Public Houses) Notification (N 1) is cancelled.
