(Exemption from Prohibition against Dealing)
Order 2017
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7(1) of the Terrorism (Suppression of Financing) Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order is the Terrorism (Suppression of Financing) (Exemption from Prohibition against Dealing) Order 2017 and comes into operation on 4 January 2017.
Exemption
2.—(1)  Mohamed Omar Bin Mahadi (Singapore citizen) (Date of Birth: 12 December 1982) (called in this Order Omar) and Malayan Banking Berhad (called in this Order Maybank) are exempted from the application of section 6 of the Act in respect of —
(a)the sale and transfer of registration as owner, or the de‑registration and disposal, of a motor car bearing registration number SJW 6916D; and
(b)the utilisation of the proceeds of sale of the motor car in sub‑paragraph (a), or the utilisation of the benefit of any rebate granted by the Land Transport Authority of Singapore under rule 8(4) of the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Registration and Licensing) Rules (Cap. 276, R 5) upon the de‑registration of that motor car, for either or both of the following purposes:
(i)the payment of all sums owed by Omar to Maybank under the hire‑purchase agreement account number 4433 3001 553 with Maybank;
(ii)the payment of all sums owed by Omar to Maybank under the renovation loan account number 4409 0206 103 with Maybank.
(2)  The Land Transport Authority of Singapore is exempted from the application of section 6 of the Act in respect of the sale and transfer of registration as owner, or the de‑registration and disposal of the motor car in sub‑paragraph (1)(a).
