Citation and commencement |
1. These Regulations are the Protection from Harassment (Amendment) Act 2019 (Saving and Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2021 and come into operation on 1 June 2021. |

2. In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires —

Application of section 13A of Act |
3. Section 13A of the Act applies when a court makes an expedited protection order on or after 1 June 2021 under —

Proceedings commenced before 1 June 2021 |
4. Despite sections 13, 15 to 19, 20(8), 22, 28(2) and 29 of the Protection from Harassment (Amendment) Act 2019, the old Act continues to apply, with the necessary modifications, to the following:

Application of section 240(6) of Criminal Procedure Code |
5. Section 240(6) of the Criminal Procedure Code (Cap. 68) applies only to an accused who is charged with an offence under the Act (including a provision of the old Act) on or after 1 June 2021. |
