Employment (Recommendations for Annual Wage Increases) Notification 1998

Whereas the National Wages Council (hereinafter referred to as NWC) has made recommendations to the Government for wage increases for the period commencing on 1st July 1998 and ending on 30th June 1999 the text of which is set out in the Schedule:

And Whereas the Government has accepted those recommendations:

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 49 of the Employment Act, the Minister for Manpower hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation

1. This Notification may be cited as the Employment (Recommendations for Annual Wage Increases) Notification 1998.

Annual wage increases

2. The annual wage increases which may be granted by an employer to an employee for the period commencing on 1st July 1998 and ending on 30th June 1999 shall be in accordance with the Schedule.
