Employment (Revised Wage Guidelines) Notification 1998

Whereas the National Wages Council (hereinafter referred to as NWC) has made recommendations to the Government for wage adjustments for the period commencing on 2nd November 1998 and ending on 30th June 1999 the text of which is set out in the Schedule: And Whereas the Government has accepted those recommendations: Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 49 of the Employment Act, the Minister for Manpower hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation

1. This Notification may be cited as the Employment (Revised Wage Guidelines) Notification 1998.

Revised wage guidelines

2. The revised wage guidelines which may be adopted by an employer to adjust the wage of an employee for the period commencing on 2nd November 1998 and ending on 30th June 1999 shall be in accordance with the recommendations of the National Wages Council as set out in the Schedule.
